Travis Esten Ruckman of Winchester, age 43, died suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of an auto accident in Berkeley County on Friday, November 23, 2018.
He is predeceased by his father; Garey Wayne Ruckman, a grandmother; Ethel V. Ruckman, a grandfather; Lorain Ruckman, and grandparents; Harley C. Fultz and Ruth P. Fultz.
Travis is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Tumblin of Winchester, VA., (2) sons; Justice Wayne Ruckman-Hyde and Gage Esten Lawrence Ruckman-Hyde of Emmett, Idaho, (2) sisters; Eulanda “Dee” Ross of Gerrardstown, WV and Kimberly I. Hoover of Romney, WV., (1) brother; Timmy L. Miller of Delray, WV. Travis is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Travis was born and raised in Winchester, VA and attended Frederick County Schools. His career(s) always involved building and construction, and many friends and family members were beneficiaries of his abilities and talents because Travis was always willing to help. Travis loved animals and dearly loved his boys. His outgoing, friendly personality made making friends very easy. He truly enjoyed going out of his way for others and often put others needs ahead of his own. Travis loved to fish, hang out with friends (particularly at the river) and working on cars.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 12 Noon till 2:00 PM at Shaffer Funeral Home in Romney. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Dillon officiating. Interment will be at Wesley Chapel, Levels.
