Squeak was born and raised in Romney and started to work at a very young age. He quickly became knowledgeable of many different skills, trades and jobs and excelled at all of them. For most of his working years, Squeak found work as a tree climber, trimmer and cutter. He and Carolina met and married in 1973 and started their family, resulting in (4) sons. Squeak was man of few words and didn’t sugar coat any of them. He made sure his boys were in church once a week until he learned they could also go on Wednesday nights, then they were there twice a week. He had a personality that could be very persuasive, bull headed, kind and generous. He loved to hunt, guns, auctions, yard sales and socializing with most everyone.
Squeak had an unparalleled sense of humor and it was never known when it was going to surface. While he did not wear his heart on his sleeve, you knew when he cared about you. When his family needed him, he was always there. He was Squeak Hines to the very end.
Memorial services are being handled by his family and will be held at a later date.
