Pat was born and raised in Romney graduating from Romney High School, class of 1955. After high school, Pat attended “Scott’s Beauty Academy” in Martinsburg and upon completion, opened up “Kim Ann’s” in Romney. Pat and George “Pete” married in the late 1950’s and moved to Fort Ashby where they started their family. While raising two small girls, Pat found the time to open another salon in Fort Ashby which she operated until her retirement in the late 1980’s.
Pat ran the show and ruled the roost and a lack of respect was not an option. Even so, there was still lots of laughter and carrying on. She was all about style and loved beauty. Her girls remember being recipients of some of her experiments in hairstyle, makeup, and fashion, often times in sharp contrast to what they thought looked good. They meant the world to her and Pat always made sure they had more than she did. Pat cherished her family, none more than her grandchildren. She loved her flower garden. She never stopped and was never bored. She loved crafts and was very creative. Pat was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and member of the Fort Ashby Methodist Church.
